Speak to a health professional
you know and trust

Our GPs and ANPs can see you for a consultation, help you access the medication you need whilst you're in the UK and give you reassurance and peace of mind. There's no need to worry about things getting lost in translation or wondering whether you’re speaking to the right person.

It’s just like seeing your local clinician only you're seeing them in your hotel room, your holiday villa or in the cab on the way to your next meeting.

Resident of Great Britain, Northern Ireland, the Channel Islands or the Isle of Man

If you are a resident of Great Britain, Northern Ireland, the Channel Islands or the Isle of Man, you can use the service abroad. If any medication is required, We will confirm within the consultation notes within the app the type of medication required for you. You will be able to show the consultation notes to a local pharmacist to help facilitate the relevant medication being provided. This will be treated as an advice note and the decision to dispense lies with the local pharmacist, DCA has no authority over this.

Being able to get specialist referrals when I’m out on the road is great

See the same clinician (whether you’re in Bali or Birmingham)

Even if you’re away from home or out of the country, you can choose to see the same clinician you usually do.

Look after your family (even if you’re not in the same country)

Whether your kids are away on a school trip, are staying with their grandparents or you’re working away, you can still look after them if they get sick. Your child (with a designated guardian) can have their appointment with one of our clinicians as normal. You can then access their notes and treatment plan after the consultation.

At Doctor Care Anywhere, we are 100% financially independent. Our clinicians do not have any additional incentives to refer you on or prescribe medications. They only have your best interests at heart and always adhere to the highest level of clinical practice. All your referrals letters, fit notes and written prescriptions are included in the cost of the service. So there are no hidden extra costs anywhere.

Avoid waiting rooms

When you're away from home the last thing you want is to feel unwell and the last place you want to be is stuck in a waiting room full of other sick people. By speaking to one of our clinicians from the comfort of your hotel room or holiday villa, you’re guaranteed not to pick anything else up.

If you're in a country outside the EEA, we will provide advice on the best course of action. You will be able to collect your medication 'over-the-counter' in many countries, but we recommend that you seek local advice when seeking a trusted pharmacy.

Other countries are subject to strict regulatory rules and you may need a prescription from a local doctor before you can collect your medication. Our clinicians can recommend appropriate medication during your consultation, but we can't guarantee that you'll be able to source the medication without a local prescription.

We can provide an advisory service, but you may need to seek advice and prescription from a local doctor.
